General Synod Special Needs Information

When you visit the General Synod web page at www.ucc.org, on the left hand side of the page is a category, Special Needs. It is there that your questions can be answered and you may rent scooters

Matt Laney is the person to contact. He is available at 269-343-1549 between 8:30a – 4:30p (EST), Monday through Thursday or at matt@kazoofcc.org. Matt will provide the details regarding rentals for persons needing mobility assistance (wheelchairs and scooters), visual and hearing assistance or other special needs during General Synod.

Persons needing a wheelchair accessible room should indicate this at the time hotel reservations are made.

At GS – Look for the Special Needs desk at the convention center ready to assist as needed.. Please share this information with others.

There have been questions about airport to hotel transportation. On the General Synod web page at www.ucc.org is transportation information.

All the buses have lifts so are equipped to handle wheelchairs, scooters, and any other assistive devices. (See below)

Although you may not be aware of others who need assistive devices, there is someone who just before Synod breaks or sprains a leg. Or, should I say inevitably, someone has surgery, temporarily needs a wheelchair, and is not aware of their availability.
